UCS Logo and Brand Guidelines

Table of Contents

The Union of Concerned Scientists is a member-supported, nonpartisan nonprofit.

Our official logo is a wordmark accompanied by a black square bracket to the left. There are three versions of the UCS wordmark, each available in English and Spanish. The horizontal wordmark without tagline is preferred. Our wordmark with tagline is best used at larger sizes, when the tagline text can be easily read.

The horizontal versions are preferred; however, a vertical version is available as an alternative.

Logo guidelines and useage

The logo must always be black or white, set against a solid color or photograph. The negative space is transparent. In the case of photographs, care must be taken to ensure the logo is legible.

Please do not add a box around the logo or use JPG files of the logo. JPGs are not transparent and their white background will be visible.

The wordmark must be at least 1.25" wide in print or 125 pixels wide online.
