shola is a nature lover, California native, science storyteller, avid reader, and an aspiring environmental activist. shola is a PhD candidate in Psychology, and studies the impacts of environmental racism and sociopolitical action on psychological health. She is also a psychological and educational consultant with Jernigan & Associates, where she writes, speaks, and trains educators and mental health professionals on the provision of culturally-responsive and liberatory mental health services and the role of systemic injustice in psychological health and wellbeing. In her free time, shola enjoys hiking, volunteering in local community gardens, finding new restaurants, and playing with her two tuxedo cats.
