As the campaigns director of the Climate and Energy Program, Megan helps lead the program’s efforts to ensure swift, equitable, and effective climate action. Megan coordinates the program’s strategy to secure policies to reduce global warming emissions, speed the country’s equitable transition to a clean energy economy, and hold fossil fuel companies accountable for climate deception and harm. Previously, Megan served as the energy campaign manager at UCS. Through public education, direct advocacy, and grassroots mobilization, she worked to increase our country's use of renewable energy, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and modernize our nation’s electric grid.
Before coming to UCS, Megan was senior organizer with Corporate Accountability, where she worked to hold tobacco corporations to account and to challenge the privatization of water. In this role, she built and managed an international coalition that secured strong corporate accountability provisions in the World Health Organization's global tobacco treaty.
Megan holds an MA in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School, where she studied international climate and energy policy and human security. She is also a graduate of Green Corps, a fellowship for environmental organizing.
