Anthony Tindall was appointed Solid Waste Coordinator for Cook County in 2022. In this role, he serves as the senior regulator of the solid waste industry in Cook County and is responsible for the implementation of the County’s zero waste and circular economy related plans and activities. He also coordinates solid waste planning efforts for all 134 Cook County municipalities, is the liaison with IL EPA officials, and manages a team of environmental control engineers and inspectors. Previously, Anthony worked for nine years as the Policy & Sustainability Manager for the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Anthony received his Master of Public Administration degree from DePaul University. He currently serves as Secretary of the Illinois Recycling Foundation's Board of Directors and is a member of the Illinois Statewide Recycling Needs Assessment Advisory Council.
