Akash Singh is the Western States Policy Advocate at the Union of Concerned Scientists. They work closely with organizational partners and experts to develop and advance climate legislation and programs in Oregon and Washington. Before joining UCS, Akash was a community organizer working to advance environmental justice principles in issues ranging from air pollution to transportation and clean energy. Akash earned their J.D. from Vermont Law School, where they gained additional specializations by analyzing climate migration and the impact of xenophobia on migration and refugee resettlement programs across the globe.
