WASHINGTON (September 10, 2019)—President Donald Trump has asked national security advisor John Bolton to resign.

“The departure of John Bolton is excellent news for American security. It means New START, the US-Russian arms control agreement, may be salvaged. Negotiations with North Korea will have more support. The likelihood of war with Iran declines. And our allies will be a whole lot happier.”
